They explore their sound to the extremes at times, from a 6 and a half minute drum solo to the glorious job Kilmore does sampling for the intro to A Certain Shade Of Green. Brandon and the gang really show that they've grown a lot since Morning View was released, both musically and as people in general. From the energetic, pulse-pounding opening of Megalomaniac to the dreaminess of Here In My Room, Incubus grabs you and doesn't let go until the final seconds of Pardon Me. A 19 track live set full of energy, passion, and even comedy. If you've haven't had the pleasure of seeing Incubus' live show in person or on their DVDs, then this is for you. Please, PLEASE buy it from the incubus bootlegs website, and I HIGHTLY recommend you buy it! This album is absolutely fantastic, my only problem with it is that the mix very occasionally sounds a little flat, but such is the limitations of recording live, I suppose There is also a great improv breakdown in a certain shade of greenīeware of other people selling this album though, it is sold on the incubusbootleg web site for ten dollars, and all profit goes to the Make Yourself Foundation, anyone else selling it has purchased it from them, and marked it up for their own profit! This is the first release in the series, so while it's fantastic, it isn't INCREDIBLY groundbreaking, just quite groundbreaking.Īlthough during Vitamin, the drummer Jose and the bassist Ben each have a drum set and the singer plays Djembe (an African drum) and play an ASTOUNDING rhythm breakdown that is absolutely jawbreaking. Incubus is releasing these albums as a fundraising effort for their charity, the Make Yourself Foundation. This is the first album released in a series of live albums based on incubus' recent world tour.
